Privacy Policy & Terms of Service

Rovii Capitech Private Limited — Last updated: 25 July 2026. Please read carefully before using the App.

Part I

Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Rovii Capitech Private Limited ("We", "Us", "Our") handles information in connection with the Rovii application ("the App"). Rovii is a record-keeping, bookkeeping, and calculation tool — a digital loan ledger — used by lending professionals to manage records of their own existing loans.

Rovii does not lend money, disburse funds, originate or facilitate loans, connect borrowers with lenders, or process any payment or money transfer. We are not a lender, a Lending Service Provider (LSP), a loan facilitator, or a credit intermediary. The App is business software for organising loan records, similar to a digital account book.

2. Who Uses Rovii

Rovii is a business tool intended for lending professionals (money lenders, financiers, and their staff) to maintain records of loans they have themselves made outside the App. It is not a consumer borrowing application, and it does not offer credit to its users.

3. Information We Collect

  • a. Account information (about you, the account holder): mobile number, password/OTP used for sign-in, and display name.
  • b. Records you enter (business content): details you choose to record about your own loans and borrowers — such as a borrower's name, address, phone number, loan amount, interest rate, and repayment schedule. This is information you input as part of your own record-keeping.
  • c. Insurance records (only if you use the optional insurance referral): after a policy is purchased on our partner's website, we receive and store confirmation details such as policy number, policy document, proposal and member identifiers, payment status, premium amount, and the name and mobile number of the insured person. See Section 6.
  • d. Technical data: basic app-usage, device, and diagnostic information (e.g., app version, crash logs) to keep the service reliable.

4. Information We Do NOT Collect

For clarity and in line with responsible-data practices:

  • We do not collect Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, bank statements, income proofs, or tax returns.
  • We do not perform KYC or Video KYC.
  • We do not access your device's contacts, call logs, location, SMS, photos/media, files, camera, or microphone. The App requests only Internet, network-state, and notification permissions.
  • We do not access or share data with credit bureaus (CIBIL, Experian, Equifax).
  • We do not collect or store card, bank, or other payment credentials, and we do not process payments.
  • We do not sell your data or that of your borrowers.

5. How We Use Information

We use information solely to:

  • Provide the App's features: recording loans, calculating interest/EMI and amortization schedules, tracking repayments, and generating reminders and receipts you can share manually.
  • Maintain your account and securely back up your records.
  • Enable the optional insurance referral and display any resulting policy records (Section 6).
  • Keep the service secure, diagnose issues, and improve reliability.

We do not use your data for lending decisions, credit scoring, or underwriting — the App performs no such functions.

6. Third-Party Insurance (Finhaat)

Rovii offers an optional referral to insurance products distributed by our partner: Finhaat Insurance Broking Private Limited (CIN: U66000MH2021PTC370496), a licensed Direct Insurance Broker (Life & General) holding IRDAI License No. 820, valid until 30 May 2028.

Rovii does not sell, underwrite, or process insurance, and collects no card, bank, or payment credentials.

How the referral works:

  • When you begin an insurance journey, the App requests a secure single-use session link from our own servers, passing a customer identification reference. Our servers transmit the limited identifying details needed to start the session (such as the applicant's name, mobile number, and a customer identification number) to Finhaat.
  • Finhaat's website then opens in a separate external browser (Chrome Custom Tabs). All product selection, KYC, purchase, and payment take place entirely on Finhaat's website and payment gateway, governed by Finhaat's own privacy policy and terms.
  • After a policy is issued, Finhaat sends our servers confirmation details — such as policy number, policy document, proposal/member identifiers, payment status, and premium amount — so that you can view the linked policy within the App. We receive these as records only; we do not receive your card or bank details, and we do not process the payment.

We recommend reviewing Finhaat's privacy policy before proceeding.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with:

  • Service providers (e.g., secure cloud hosting) that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations, solely to operate the App.
  • Finhaat Insurance Broking Private Limited, only the limited SSO handoff and policy-confirmation exchange described in Section 6, and only if you choose to use the insurance referral.
  • Legal/regulatory bodies, when required by law, court order, or valid legal process.

8. Data Storage, Localization, and Security

  • Localization: Data is stored on secure servers located within India.
  • Security: We use industry-standard encryption (including AES-256 for sensitive stored credentials) and reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, or loss.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account and record data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may delete records within the App, and you may request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to any retention required by applicable law.

10. Your Rights Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • Access and correct your personal data.
  • Withdraw consent to processing (this may limit or end your ability to use the App).
  • Request erasure of your data, subject to lawful retention obligations.
  • Raise a grievance (Section 12).

11. Your Responsibilities Regarding Borrower Data

Because Rovii lets you record information about other individuals (your borrowers), you are responsible for collecting and handling that information lawfully — including obtaining any consent required under the DPDP Act, 2023 and other applicable laws. In respect of borrower records you enter, you act as the data fiduciary and Rovii acts only as a data processor operating on your instructions. You must use the App only for lawful record-keeping of loans you are legally entitled to make and manage.
